At the FITNESS Project, we are delighted to celebrate the recent election of Bikash Pal, consortium member and project supervisor, as the President-Elect of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES).
The results were officially announced by IEEE PES following the 2025 election process. The elected officers will assume their roles on 1 January 2026.
The election of Bikash Pal as President-Elect of IEEE PES — one of the most influential organizations in the field of electrical engineering and power systems — represents a significant recognition of his outstanding scientific and professional career. His leadership in the areas of power system analysis, planning, and control is widely acknowledged worldwide, and his involvement in our consortium provides essential added value to the progress of the FITNESS Project.
