Muhammad Saleem is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Candidate (DC-7) under the Horizon Europe programme at the University of Cagliari, Italy, where he started his contract on 28 April 2026. He completed his Master of Engineering in Information Technology in 2023 and Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication Engineering in 2017 from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. His research focuses on decentralized control in network distribution systems using low-complexity Edge AI for intelligent, secure, and efficient smart grid applications. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Edge Computing, IoT, distributed systems, and lightweight AI model optimization.
